![]() ![]() In the login options of the system preferences appear two domains one in lower case and one in upper case Īt this point in the login options appears a second domain in uppercase (MYDOMAIN) with the same problems reported in the discussion that I cited previously, so summarizing. ![]() The domain in the login options appears with lowercase letters (mydomain), which is wrong in my opinion, and initially seems to work at least until I try to change any option of UD ("Create mobile account at login" and/or" Allow administration by." ) and save the changes or restart the computer. The network users connect correctly and create their Home directories.Īt reboot everything continues to work properly (or so it seems) Navigate the "Active Directory/MYDOMAIN2/All Domains" with the "directory editor" of UD I can modify the various options of "Utility Directory (UD)". The domain in the login options of the system preferences appears correctly with capital letters (MYDOMAIN2) Trying the binding on things seem to work I have "almost" the same problem reported at this link Has anyone got any suggestions? Perhaps I've missed something obvious here.īig Sur troubles with Active Directory I state that in our company there are three different domainsĬ ( is the external address) I am able to bind the mac to the domain using Centrify Express, but I'd like to avoid using a third party tool for this as the mac OS should be capable of doing this straight out of the box. ![]() I've tried authenticating with different AD administrators accounts, using different sets of binding properties but nothing works. "The plugin encountered an error processing request." When trying to add the computer to the domain via Directory utility I get an error: The device I'm working on currently is a clean install of Mojave and has no additional software on it apart from macOS Server. Please note however that these were joined to the domain whilst on High Sierra, and later updated. Most of these devices are Windows 10 however we have a handful of Macbooks all running Mojave which work without any issues. I know our AD domain is set up correctly as we have other devices joined to the domain which behave fine. I've done some troubleshooting and can't figure out the reason why this may be the case. I am unable to bind the mac to our AD domain. I'm having a problem with directory utility on Mojave (10.14.1). ![]()
